You can also hail down an empty taxi on the road or get one at a taxi stand. The Taxi fares Differ from one place to another within New Zealand, but in most places and with most taxi companies, the Flagfalls start at NZD 2.00. Subsequently, the charges are NZD 2.00 per Km.
