The fares on Newmans Coachlines operate on a two fare booking system:

  • Non Refundable (NR)

  • Fully Refundable

Fully Refundable Fares are further divided into the following fare types:

  • Adult (AD)

  • Child (CH)

  • Student (ST)

  • Backpackers (BP)

  • Golden Age (GA)

On selected services, Newmans Coachlines offers discounts for Golden Age, Students, Backpackers and Children.

Children

  • Newmans Coachlines offers a 33% discount on the standard fares for children between the age of 3 and 12 years.

Student Fares

  • Students are offered a 20% discount on the standard fares on selected services

  • The students can be of any one of the following categories:

  • Local Students - Polytech, CIT, University or ISIC cardholders

  • International Students - ISIC cardholders only

Backpacker Fares

  • Backpackers receive a 15% discount on the standard fares on selected services

  • Correct ID cards are required at the time of purchase of the ticket

  • The driver may ask to see these before accepting backpackers for travel

Golden Age Fares / SuperGold Card holders

  • Persons over the age of 60 years are offered a 20% discount on the standard fares on selected services

  • SuperGold card holders receive a 20% discount on the standard fares on selected services

  • This benefit is however only available to New Zealand Citizen travelers over the age of 60
