  • The Huka Falls, the thermal energy plant at Wairakei, Lake Taupao, and Tongariro national park are some of the places to visit on going south to Rotorua.
  • Wellington, the capital and political hub of New Zealand since 1865 is located partially amidst the harbor and The Cook Strait. What will appeal you most about this city is its remarkable sightseeing. You can also drive off to Mount Victoria so as to get a fascinating view of the entire city.
  • A three hour long ferry through the Marlborough Sounds and across the Cook Strait starts from Wellington to Picton gives you the most memorable experience. This bustling town of Picton is known for its blue and green bush clad, from where you can head for the Abel Tasman National Park.

  • Starting your voyage through Murchison and then moving towards the Buller Gorge will give you some ecsatatic views of the natural beauty of New Zealand. For exploring a Seal colony you need to take a walk up to the Cape Foulwind.
  • The bizarre pancake rocks of Punakaiki can be reached easily from the Cape Foulwind. The Tasman Sea erodes these squashy chalk rocks on a permanent basis.
  • During your visit to the West coast, you can visit some of the popular destinations which includes the gold miners’ townships of Hari Hari & Ross, Southern Alps, Westland National park, Lake Moeraki, Haast Pass, Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea, Fox Glacier and Franz Joseph Glacier.
  • A stay at the rocky Queenstown Mountain will certainly appeal the mountainlovers. You can try out Skiing and Snowboarding in some of the worlds famous Skiing Peaks. Other places close to this mountain world include the lush farm lands of the Southland area and Fiordland. The national park of Fiordland holds the first ranks amongst the largest parks in New Zealand as well as in the world.
  • Visiting Otago is another option which is highly recommended where you have a chance to visit the Omarama cliffs, Lake Tekapo, as well as the trio lakes of Mackenzie Country and the farmhouse in Fairlie where you have an option to spend your night.
