Hanmer Forest Park

Lying at the back one of Canterbury's most admired cities, Hanmer Forest Park is packed with both native and foreign forest. It is spread over an area of 13000 Hectares or 168 Square Km. The forest Park is governed by New Zealand's Department of Conservation.

Hanmer Springs lies at an altitude of 385 m. It is situated 135 km North of Christchurch.
